It's probably no big deal for today's four-cylinder folks to remember their engine's firing order. The same can't be said for the lucky Cadillac V-16 owners. Just flip to page 95 in the Electrical System Specifications section and look under ignition, then under distributor to see that for the 452 D engine, it's 1-8-9-14-3-6-11-2-15-10-7-4-13-12-5-16. Whew! It also helps by explaining to you that the number one cylinder on the 452-D is the left front. If you're going to be adjusting valves, you may want to set aside a good chunk of time.
