This 1959 Mopar Parts Catalog is a high-quality, PRINT reproduction of the parts catalog which was written and first published by the experts at the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Chrysler Corporation, for use by their dealership mechanics. It served the parts departments and service teams well for years, and now it can be yours!

Make no mistake. This is no meager pamphlet. This is a brawny, 624-page, comprehensive guide to the factory correct parts and fasteners which make up your beloved MOPAR classic. It's also important to know that parts catalogs contain huge amounts of information which are NOT found in shop manuals. For starters, shop and service manuals assume that you already have all of the pieces...and that they are correct. After so many decades, and potentially a host of previous owners, that's a tall assumption. The parts catalog actually tells and shows you what you may be missing and what may not even belong on your car. It is also the first step in obtaining what you need.

You'll love and appreciate the many, beautiful illustrations located at the beginning of each group. Within those illustrations, parts are identified by name and part type code. By referencing the part type code, you can then locate additional information about the part. In fact, please take a moment to scroll down and check out the sample illustration on this webpage to see what we mean. You'll notice it has convenient arrows which point you to the exact location of each item. What you can't see is the text portion of this catalog. Those text pages allow you to look up the code and be informed of such helpful details as the part name and description, the number of cylinders of the cars where the part belongs, the applicable years (individually, for Plymouth, Dodge, Desoto, Chrysler/Imperial), as well as how many of that part are required per car and, of course, the part number!

This book is loaded with helpful exploded-view diagrams. They not only show you all of the parts and fasteners, but these drawings give you an idea of how everything is supposed to fit together. Additionally, this guide provides details such as how to locate the engine number stampings. It's nice to know that many times, current part vendors still use the original MOPAR part numbers. That means this book can help you to verify original parts, assist you with interchange possibilities (if you see another make/model listed with the same part info) and even with ordering new replacement parts. There's also a cross-reference list in the back to tie in the vendor numbers with the Chrysler numbers. For instance, Auto-Lite vendor number 4-GS-125 corresponds with Chrysler number 1594 767. Additional vendors include Carter, Stromberg, Timken and Zenith.

In 1959, part of the era of tail-fins and chrome, MOPAR machines ruled the streets. Their innovative styling reset the industry just a couple of years before the '59 models, but in their rush to the streets, they suffered many quality issues. Fortunately, by the release of the 1959 models, a lot of improvements had been made. If you're lucky enough to have one of these stylish cars which helped to close out the great 50s decade, you owe it to yourself to have the knowledge to keep it at its best. With this tremendous 1959 MOPAR parts catalog, you'll have just that. It's the perfect addition to your automotive library.

This excellent reprint of the factory-written parts catalog is perfect for service, repairs, restoration and rebuild projects. It's the definitive source regarding parts for these classic MOPAR vehicles. Clear illustrations and photos show exploded views, as well as component details and more.
