CRANKSHAFT PULLEY | REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
(See Figures 102, 103 and 104)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the accessory drive belt(s).
- Using a suitable puller, remove the crankshaft pulley.
- Install the pulley and tighten the pulley bolt to 69-76 ft. lbs. (93-103 Nm) for 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.7L engines. Tighten the bolt on 1.2L engines to 58-72 ft. lbs. (78-98 Nm). Tighten the bolt on 2.5 engines to 94 ft. lbs. (127 Nm). Tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt on the 2.7L and 3.3L engines to 115 ft. lbs. (157 Nm).
- Install the accessory drive belt and adjust the tension to specification.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
TIMING BELT COVER AND SEAL | REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 1.2L ENGINE (See Figure 105)
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Loosen the alternator-to-engine bolts, relax the drive belt tension and remove the drive belt form the front of the engine.
- Using a socket wrench (through the hole in the right fender) and the Crankshaft Pulley Wrench tool No. 499205500 or equivalent, remove the crankshaft pulley-to-crankshaft bolt and the pulley from the crankshaft.
- Remove the rubber cover seal. Clean all mating surfaces.

POWER DOOR LOCKS | REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the door panel retaining screws.
- Lift the door panel up and disconnect all the electrical connections required to separate the door panel from the door.
- Remove the door panel from the vehicle. Remove the switch assembly from its mounting.
- Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the door panel.
- Disconnect the actuator electrical connector. Disconnect the required linkage rods.
- Remove the actuator assembly retaining screws. Remove the actuator assembly from the vehicle.
- Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
POWER WINDOW SYSTEM | REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION REGULATOR AND MOTOR (See Figures 34, 35, 36 and 37)
- Remove the trim panel.
- Remove the remote assembly, if so equipped.
- Remove the sealing cover.
- Remove the rear view mirror from the door.
- Remove the outer weather strip.
- Remove the inner stabilizer.
- Loosen the upper stopper bolt from the front of door and glass stoppers and move the door glass.
- Remove the upper stopper from the rear of the door.
- Remove the bolts which hold the glass holder to the regulator slider.
