Please take a moment to scroll down and view a sample page in order to see an example of the excellent illustrations and well-written text found all through this handy guide. You'll find this level of detail has been employed throughout this book too. Many sections list a part and then deliver meticulous attributes about that part including such things as specifications and adjustment procedures. For instance, on page 12 you'll find that the PITMAN ARM is described as being eight inches long and constructed of drop forged, heat treated steel which has been splined to cradle shaft. The lower end (to which the drag link attaches) is provided with a case-hardened ball in order to reduce wear at this part to a minimum. You'll also find excellent descriptions of all of the various closed and open models. This book contains much more information with regards to these cars than the basic shop manual provides.
In 1927, while the country was fascinated by Charles Lindbergh and his historic Atlantic Ocean solo flight, Buick was making seriously fine automobiles. They may not have had as much glitz as Cadillac and the others, but they were well-engineered cars and priced right. Ford was busy switching from the "long in the tooth" Model T to their new Model A (not very alphabetical, huh?). That year people were humming "Aint She Sweet", and they may have actually been referring to their stylish new Buick. They were also singing "I'm Looking Over a Four-Leaf Clover", but if they had a '27 Buick, they were already lucky enough. You'll have better luck with your Buick if you're armed with expert information like what fills the pages of this great book!
This factory-written shop manual is perfect for service, repairs, restoration, and rebuild projects. Clear illustrations and photos show exploded views, as well as component details, plus specifications, engine repair details, fuel systems and more.
